During a day date in the Quad Cities, which is a group of cities along the Mississippi River on the borders of Iowa and Illinois, my wife and I decided we wanted to hit up a brewery. We were on the riverfront in Bettendorf, IA and didn't want to drive too far out of the way to get somewhere. I recalled that I saw that Adventurous Brewing had their tasting room open and it was directly on the route we were heading anyways.
A little tricky getting into the parking lot because it's located between a series of one way streets, but nothing too difficult. This Saturday afternoon the brewery was packed, which is a good sign for an establishment.
We got in, squeezed ourselves up to the bar and ordered our drinks. We found a couple of stools along some bar seating by the big front window looking out on the parking lot, with a little bit of a view of the river and the bridge into Illinois. After a few minutes of not being able to hear ourselves over the crowd noise and feeling a little cramped we moved over to a more lounge area further in the back with a couch and some armchairs. Here we were able to properly relax and enjoy our drinks.
I hope to be able to make it back to Adventurous Brewing again soon, maybe during a less busy time to find out the full extent of what the place has to offer.
